Great hotel, with very attentative staff

A new favorite for when staying in Lisbon, usually twice a year. Located close to the airport, an uber costs around 5 euros to get you there. Metro is just a 5 min walk if you wish to go down to the waterfront. Also has shopping close by, supermarkets and plenty of restaurants & cafés. The property is very clean and rooms are well planned out, beds are super comfortable with extra pillows if needed. Tv has plenty of channels both in Portuguese and English, also plenty of channels for children. You can't fault the bathroom, very clean and spacious. Balconies on the 2nd floor with seating for when the sun shines. A fully equipped kitchen is at hand and a lovely patio/garden for guests to use. Check-in is self-service and worked seamlessly. The host Helen will send all the details, codes via whats-app/sms prior to your stay and is always available via telephone if needed. Wifi connects easily and works well. All in all a perfect place to stay and highly recommended. 10 out of 10.

This hotel is definitely in the top 3 hotels in my life! Throughout our time in Portugal, we visited places, pensions, and monasteries. Then we visited Lisbon and this hotel was not much different than all those king's places, we have been visiting. A beautiful historical 400-year-old mansion with similarly designed rooms and friendly staff makes your stay dreamy. So many small details that make this hotel the best. Welcome drinks, a complimentary coffee machine, water, and some toiletries if you need them. A clean and well-equipped gym. Perfect location, which makes it almost walking distance everywhere. And the breakfast, which I have to make a new paragraph :) A very rich breakfast. It has so many choices from fruits to traditional Portuguese pastries, fresh and tasty coffee, and juices, it is very tasty. However, the best part about it is the beautiful breakfast saloon where you have live piano music while enjoying your delicious breakfast.

You couldn't ask for a better place to stay in Lisbon. Anjo Azul is perfectly located for any type of tourist: those who like nightlife will have a bohemian neighborhood (Bairro Alto) a few meters away, while those looking to see sights and enjoy the day will be happy to know that just down the street there is the highly touristic Chiado district, which has lots of options for shopping and eating as well as access to all sorts of transportation methods to get around the city (including plenty of different lines from the world-famous yellow trams and a subway station). The boost here is that despite its very central position, which is within walking distance from many of Lisbon's major sights, Anjo Azul is on a very quiet street, so being able to sleep peacefully is a certainty. What makes the hotel special, however, is the care and attention displayed by the staff, who are not only extremely polite and friendly but also always ready to share tips about places to go. The fact rooms are always carefully cleaned once you return from your day walking around Lisbon is yet another display of that particular quality. I would like to thank the entire Anjo Azul team for making my great stay in Lisbon even better, and I will sure be recommending the place for family and friends.

A Clean and comfortable stay, right on the Metro, suburban train station, as well as bus routes to town and airport. 3 Super clean shared bathrooms - between about 8 bedrooms. We never had to wait to use a bathroom. Very accommodative by letting us drop our luggage of on arrival, early the morning of check in , before going out to sightsee. Our flight was out of Lisbon late night, and we were again given an area to store our luggage so we could enjoy our last day before coming back for a shower The friendliness and willingness to assist by hosts like these is priceless and makes a stay memorable .

Loved the location - so glad I went with it. Also the staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. The breakfast also had a variety of fresh options that is different everyday. All in all loved it so much I would definitely come back with the family.
